Organic agriculture

All the ingredients we use come from organic agriculture which makes our teas healthier and more nutritious. What’s more, our Gadal Classics collection contains only plants that come from local organic agriculture.

  • Organic agriculture doesn’t use any synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. However, organic standards allow biological pest control, natural pesticides and fertilisers such as compost.
    A series of other methods are also used in order to raise agricultural productivity in a natural way, in harmony with the environment – crop rotation, polyculture, the use of energy in a responsible way.
  • The international organisation that promotes organic agriculture is IFOAM (Organics International), headquartered in Bonn, Germany. Following IFOAM regulations, EU created EU-ECO-Regulation, which means:
    1. a standard set of rules for the organic agricultural process;
    2. a standard label for organic certified products:
Gadal Teas are annually certified organic by Austria Bio Garantie.
